1. What is the concept of Anedodi?


Anedodi is a place to unwind and relax in nature, a place for thrills and water sports, a place to truly get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Designed for groups of friends or for a family vacation rental.


2. Where is Lake Norfork?


Lake Norfork is located in Mountain Home, northern Arkansas near the southern Missouri border deep in the Ozark Mountains, about 3 hours north of Little Rock. The central USA location is ideal for stopping by on a road trip, between Tennessee and Colorado. Please see the map for more details.

  1. 3.How do we get to the resort?


If flying to Anedodi through Little Rock, Fayetteville, Memphis or any other regional airport, all transportation can be arranged by the lodge. If driving in, please email or call for help from your specific location.


  1. 4.What’s the weather like and when is the best time to visit?


From May to September is the warmest weather, perfect for all water sports with temperatures in the high 80’s. October through March is typically the cold season - and although water sports are out (unless you have a wet suit), fishing is at its best during these months. Spring is the best for seeing waterfalls in full flow and fall is mild weather for hiking with temperatures in the 70’s and a fantastic array of fall colors. Of course, hiking is great year round  - each season brings a different, yet spectacular backdrop.


  1. 5.What restaurants are in the area?


Within a 10-minute drive from the lodge, there are a plethora of restaurants, cafes, diners and family restaurants. The town of Mountain Home has typical chain restaurants such as McDonalds, Arby’s, Sonic, a good steakhouse, Italian and a Mexican restaurant. For a scenic location with fresh fish, the lake view restaurant Gaston’s - or Anglers, overlooking the White River are both dining spots with mountain character. Or for a real taste of Arkansas, head to Fred’s Fish House for a fried catfish dinner - or to Black Wolf Bar-B-Q for some of the tastiest freshly smoked pork you have ever encountered.


6. Can you arrange activities for us?


Yes, if you give us advance notice - we can arrange for waterski instruction, boat and pontoon rental, fishing guides, hiking guides, canoeing and river floating trips.


7. What do we need to bring?


You could honestly arrive with just the shirt on your back and you would be perfectly prepared. You are here to relax, so no formalwear is necessary. Of course, there is also a Walmart nearby which has anything you could ever need. However, a brief list would include sports swimwear, sun tan lotion, sunglasses (polarized if possible), a hat or headscarf, Off spray (deep forest), Crocs or other good river shoes, sneakers and long socks for hiking and crystal digging.


8 Can we use the resort as an event venue?


Yes, you can hire the lodge for a corporate incentive group, for a wedding, church gathering or family reunion. You will have exclusive use of the 12 acres for private entertainment. We can help you organize catering, entertainment, staff, floral decorations, furniture hire, gazebo hire and booking accommodation in the area for overnight stays if necessary.
